Northwich March for Clean Air – Sunday 21st November 2021

The waste incinerator on Griffiths Road, Lostock Gralam, is already going to be one of the biggest in Europe. Now LSEP want to bring in even more waste to the plant by road, burning over 728,000 tonnes of rubbish a year.

To do this they will need to transport the waste in lorries and this will mean 434 lorry journeys a day, which is 13,500 a month and over 158,000 journeys a year.

That’s one lorry every 45 seconds hurting down Griffiths Road, all day, every day for the next 30 years.

Make your voice heard and help local Councillors and the Government understand that we neither want nor need this in our town.

Join with others in a March for Clean Air on Sunday 21st November 2021 and make your views matter. The march will meet at Griffiths Park, Middlewich Road, CW9 7DR at 10:30am and set off at 11:30am to walk to the incinerator gates on Griffiths Road. After the march there will be time for drinks and a chat at The Broken Cross pub.
